Animals
Animals lists every animal in the herd and how it is today. From here you open the full history of each one.
Animals are not entered by hand: they appear when you import a file from the indicator.
Animal list

| Tag | The visual tag, or — if it has none. On the phone, if there is no visual tag the electronic one is shown. |
| Electronic tag | The electronic device number (for example 032 010002684909). |
| Status | The latest pregnancy diagnosis: Pregnant, Carrying, late or Empty. — if never diagnosed. |
| Weight | The latest recorded weighing. |
| Last seen | The date of the last session the animal appeared in. Large screens only. |
The list shows the newest animals first and loads more as you scroll down.
Search
The Search by tag... box finds animals by visual or electronic tag, even if you type only part of it.
Filtered lists
The numbers on Home, the lots, and an animal's lot label open the list already filtered. The page title shows the filter (for example To cull, Lost the pregnancy, GDR 4 or the lot name) and the breadcrumbs let you go back to Animals.
Search also works inside a filtered list.
An animal's history
When you open an animal you see its visual tag (or the electronic one, if it has none) and the electronic tag below it.
Animal details
The labels below the title show what is known about the animal:
- Breed (Angus or Red Angus) and sex (Female or Male).
- The lot it is in. Opens that lot's list.
- Sire and birth year.
- A truck icon for each open consignment it is in. Opens the consignment.
Withdrawal period
If the animal received a treatment whose withdrawal period hasn't ended, a notice says Cannot be sold until …, with the product and the application date.
Timeline
The timeline shows every session the animal appeared in, from newest to oldest. Each entry has the date, the session type, and what was recorded that day, in this order:
- Pregnancy diagnosis and service.
- Weight.
- GDR.
- Decision (Keep or Cull).
- Note.
Only recorded data is shown. Treatments applied that day appear on the same date, with product and batch.
When there are two weighings in a row, the gain between them is shown: for example +74 kg in 110 days · 0.67 kg/day.
:::tip Why a timeline No indicator file tells the whole story: a weighing, a pre-breeding, an ultrasound and a palpation live in different files. The timeline brings them together by electronic tag. :::
Identification
- The electronic tag is what identifies the animal. It is required and can't be repeated within the organization. All imports recognize the animal by this number.
- The visual tag is a free-form label: it can be missing and can be repeated across animals. Puelas shows what the file says, without correcting it.
