Treatments

A treatment records that a product (a vaccine, an antiparasitic, an antibiotic) was applied to an animal on a date. It tells you what each animal received and, above all, until when it can't be sold.

Recording a treatment​

Treatments are recorded from a session: Actions → Record treatment. They apply to all the animals worked that day.

If there are no products yet, Puelas offers a link to Products to add one.

Recording the same product twice, on the same day, for the same animals doesn't duplicate anything: Puelas tells you it was already recorded.

Withdrawal period​

If the product has withdrawal days, each treatment stores the date until which the animal can't be sold: the application date plus the product's withdrawal days.

That date is fixed when the treatment is recorded. If the product's withdrawal days are changed later, treatments already recorded don't change.

While the withdrawal period hasn't ended, the animal appears:

  • On Home, in the cannot be sold yet row of Results.
  • With the Cannot be sold until … notice in its history.
  • On the session page, with the Withdrawal until … label highlighted.
